Title mostly I’m a woman and I’ve personally noticed I get treated differently depending on my hair style. This isn’t just once or twice, it’s a pattern I’ve noticed and I’m curious if it’s indicative of a larger trend among men. For reference, I mostly wear my hair in two styles - my regular shoulder length curly hair and the classic slick back bun. I’m a dancer and when I’m in class or go out dancing, I notice my partners are a lot warmer to me and open when my hair is down. People are more likely to make jokes or smile or be friendlier. When I wear my hair slicked back, my partners tend to be more reserved around me. It’ll change within a day. I’ll go out dancing on one day where my hair is down and people are friendlier and the very next day I’ll go dancing again with same people in a slick back bun and those same people are less friendly, more reserved around me. I also feel I look better in a slick back bun. So does a woman’s hair affect how you engage with her? Are there certain hairstyles that make a woman more or less approachable? submitted by /u/Unlikely_Issue
