I’ve been playing RuneScape since 2007, and living in Asia (Philippines and Japan) meant I was always playing on high ping. PKing, PvM, skilling, heck even dropping items, literally everything was done with latency. I honestly thought that was just how RuneScape felt. Then yesterday I tried one of the new Asian servers. WHAT THE HELL?! It genuinely felt unreal. When I click, my character moves immediately. Dropping items is instant. Banking feels instant. Everything feels responsive in a way I’ve never experienced before. For years I thought the little delay between clicking and seeing something happen was just part of the game. Turns out it was mostly my ping. The craziest part is that I’ve spent almost two decades adapting to the delay without realizing how much of an impact it had on every single activity in the game.
