One thing that has annoyed me with 4.7 and 4.8 is: I ask that we chat before coding so we can get on the same page, plan carefully, engage plan mode, and Claude competely ignores me and jumps straight into coding forcing me to either interrupt or revert work. Has anybody found these models more likely to do this than 4.6, or just as? It’s not a huge problem as I can interrupt and revert changes, but it’s annoying to be continually ignored at least half the time when explicitly asking to chat first. Edit: Also Claude wants to use AskUserQuestion all the time instead of chatting which is absolutely obnoxious. It’s nice in the middle of executing a plan to ping me on the phone to ask a question but not when I explicitly ask to chat. It feels like avoidance. submitted by /u/Nearby_Yam286
