Has anyone else noticed Claude Sonnet eating through usage really fast when working with a small batch of HTML files? I’m only fetching 4 HTML files, but the consumption feels much higher than expected. It seems like Claude is re-reading a lot of context or handling the files inefficiently, and the usage adds up quickly even before I’ve done much analysis. What I’m trying to figure out: • Is this normal behavior for Sonnet? • Is there a better workflow for HTML files so it doesn’t burn through so much usage? • Would splitting the files or starting a fresh session help? I’m using Claude for practical file-based work, so token efficiency matters a lot. If anyone has tips for reducing consumption on repeated file fetches, I’d appreciate them. submitted by /u/RahulDiddy
