A clean 4.8 agent has to be one of the most massive downgrades i’ve experienced with Claude so far. It by default, does not try to research or verify it’s own claims. It will blatantly lie to you like old chat gpt constantly then tell you you’re wrong. It refuses to do work extremely often. If you have a task for it and it does not have the immediate tools to get it done it will just tell you “ I can’t do this” and continue to refuse over and over. 4.6 never did this and would rarely give up, you could push it to try to figure out work arounds with its own capabilities and end up actually figuring out how to get it to do complex tasks that originally it could not. 4.8 just tells you to go fuck yourself.
