I (23F) have a crush on this new guy at work. We talked for like a couple of hours on a night out with colleagues and I had so much fun, definitely developed a huge crush right then and there. He’s a bit shy and doesn’t speak the local language so when he started I went to see him a few times to make sure he was okay since I’m a multilingual. I wanted to ask him out to the beach on our usual afternoon break the other day but he told me his manager offered to go play tennis so I didn’t ask him out because work’s important, especially the first week. I wouldn’t want to put him in an awkward position. We laugh well together and we do tease each other a bit but as I said, he’s shy so hard to know if he’s just trying to get along at a new job or if he’s interested. I wanted him to feel included so I made an inside joke drawing of him (he’s 28, looks 20 at best, I drew him as a kid with beard) as I have made a drawing for everyone in our workplace, I felt he’d feel more included. He adored it. That’s how I found out he draws too and he was an art student. I was thinking of asking him if one day he’d be down to use our afternoon break to go draw down at the beach so we could teach each other stuff both in drawing and languages since he’s trying to learn the local language and I’m currently learning his native language. What do you think, is it too corny or nerdy? Like is it weird and awkward? I have never been on a date in my life or had any relationships before. I haven’t had a crush in 5 years so I’m definitely panicking there. Men, help me. I really want to get to know him better. He’s really sweet (and incredibly hot.) submitted by /u/Flimsy-Shift-9079
