My dyslexic ass started “vibe coding” a few months ago and somehow started a mildly successful small business. I used Gemini pro and have gotten really good at copy and pasting. I’ve been trying out Claude Code for a few days now (made a GitHub account too) and I would say half the time, maybe more, Claude just won’t edit my code. Even if I’m practically yelling at it multiple times in a prompt to do so. But most of the time it won’t listen to “edit this cpp file and make these changes.” It just reads files and eats up my tokens. I tried looking around for advice on the sub but yall are too smart for me. I even asked Claude and Gemini to help craft my prompts. I’ve tried Opus. I’ve tried sonnet. I’ve tried Fast.
