My personal email is almost two decades old, and my inbox is so full it’s embarrassing. Over 50k just unread. A few weeks ago, I tried to sit down and clean it manually through Gmail’s website. It was a disaster. The web UI kept lagging, I had to click page by page, and I didn’t even know who to search for to delete the bulk of it. So I wrote a local desktop app using Rust and an encrypted SQLite database to solve it for myself. It runs entirely on your own machine, pulls message headers securely, and clusters them by sender so you can nuke thousands of marketing emails in a click without a cloud middleman. I built builds for Windows, Mac, and Linux just to see if anyone else would find it useful. It is completely free with no cloud accounts or tracking. I’m a developer, not a marketer, so I’m just looking to chat with anyone else who values local data privacy or has struggled with a bloated inbox. If you want to check out the project, let me know and I can share the link in the comments! submitted by /u/Bubbly_Bicycle_2605
