I don’t know what it is about 4.8 but it seems to waste so many tokens, it goes around in circles, it’s constantly apologising for getting things wrong, goes on wild goose chases. I started for a while getting lazy when 4.6 came out and was reading less and less of the code. It would just work first time. 4.7 I felt was a little bit worse in some regards but better in other things. 4.8 is just not working reliably. At least for the project I’m working on which is not your standard SaaS JavaScript front end style application. It’s not my prompting, it’s not because I don’t have some magical skill file. I’m not doing anything different than I have been before. Maybe that’s my problem with 4.8? I’ve never felt like I needed to consider trying Codex but I’m very close now… What are other people finding with 4.8 ?
