Up until now I’ve been using free models with Gemini integrated into the IDE for my AI agents but recently decided to try out Claude Code CLI. I put $20 in and turned on auto-renew. After I told it my requirements and it went to work, it wasn’t long before I saw it make another payment, ending up spending a total of $45 on a simple client/server request response feature. Don’t get me wrong, it was great; it (mainly) all worked without much tweaking. I’m just curious because I hear people running like 10+ agents; surely this is extremely expensive. How can people make it affordable? Is it because I was using the default model and cheaper models is better but using more agents? submitted by /u/Previous_Dream8775
