I received a ‘save the date’ from a couple that has been together for 7 years. I had heard through the grapevine that for a stretch of time, the soon-to-be groom would vent to close friends about his relationship and didn’t seem like he wanted to be in it. About 2 years ago, he personally told me I was lucky to have common interests with my partner, because he doesn’t have that with his fiancée, and he has often felt like he has better chemistry with other people he meets, but knows none of those girls will treat him as well as his fiancée (she took care of him during a period of illness.) I’m curious how this has turned out for others in similar situations. *Note: they are not in an arranged marriage/relationship. submitted by /u/ellered10
