I keep seeing mobile internet subscription offers everywhere, billboards on the street, ads online, etc. But since I switched to my current provider, I can’t find any offer that even comes close to what I have. When I read the fine print from the competition, I just feel like it’s a scam compared to my plan. My current plan called “Purple Deal” from TalkTalk (still available) offers: Free activation (this often matters when comparing similarly priced offers) Unlimited internet including 5G, with high-speed capped at 100GB/month before speed gets throttled for the first time. I just ran a 5G speed test and got 968 Mbps down and 120 Mbps up. (Competitors might advertise “unlimited internet” but cap speeds at only 100 Mbps down / 20 Mbps up) 5GB/month data in EU, UK, US, CA, NO, LI, TR (competitors usually offer only 1GB or none) Unlimited calls and SMS in Switzerland (but that’s common among competitors too) CHF 13/month (most competitors are close to CHF 20/month) From a pure price/performance perspective, nothing compares to this offer. So I’m wondering: am I missing something? Could I help someone avoid unnecessary costs by warning them against joining competitors that actually provide worse service hidden in their fine print?
