Hello everyone, I am 32 years old and I’ve been programming for around 25 years now. I have been doing mostly native iOS development for the last 18 years, although I have lots of experience in .NET, web stuff, sysadmin work, CI/CD etc., pretty much everything that one needs. With the rise of AI, especially agentic coding tools like CC or Codex I have become demotivated as all my previous learning has become mostly useless. Sure, there are still some edge cases (e.g. Liquid Glass, some UI stuff), but most of my work has become kind of automated. I have nothing to do and nothing is a challenge anymore.
