I’ve hit an annoying bug that has some outstanding issues posted on the Claude Code GitHub. I’m trying to figure out if this is an isolated incident only applying to certain users (appears to be cross platform) or rather, is a newly introduced bug affecting everyone using the TUI. I use voice-to-text so my prompts tend to be fairly rigorous. In the past, if there was an error in my prompt or I wanted to change the wording, I could use the up and down arrows to navigate through the prompt while I was typing it. But now that functionality is broken. Instead, the up/down arrows moves through history rather than moving through the text block (think word-processing). So the only way I can do any corrections is to use Control + A or Control + E followed by left/right arrow keys which slows me down tremendously as my prompts are often very detailed. This bug is a huge inconvenience and I don’t want to have to revert to a previous version and disable auto-updates. Is anyone else experiencing this bug? Does anybody have any suggested fixes other than reverting to a previous version? submitted by /u/naruda1969
