I’ve been using Claude Code heavily and ended up with a role-based workflow per project instead of one giant session. For each serious project, I usually split sessions into roles like: Lead Operator Developer Overseer Critic/Tester Planner I’m often working across 3-4 projects, so this can become 15–20 active sessions. The quality is noticeably better when it works, but I also feel like I may be burning more tokens coordinating sessions than actually shipping. One Claude Code Max subscription lasts me roughly two days before I hit limits. Curious how others are handling this: Do you use multi-session roles per project, or mostly one main session? What role split has actually improved output for you? What workflows help reduce token burn without lowering quality? Do you use Claude Code together with Codex, Gemini/Antigravity CLI, Cursor, or other tools to get different perspectives? Does anyone use more than one Max subscription justified? I’m trying to understand how serious users balance quality and cost. submitted by /u/lexsemenenko
