so after WWDC and all this “new siri with AI” talk… this is it? this is what apple spent hundreds of millions on? because what they showed vs what we actually get feels like two completely different products on stage went like: “siri understands your personal context” “it sees what’s on your screen” “it can take actions across apps” “it remembers past conversations” “it works seamlessly across iphone, mac, carplay, airpods” basically a full blown digital assistant that actually helps you live your life and then in reality? you’re still repeating yourself to set a reminder still rephrasing basic commands like you’re negotiating with it still hitting random “sorry, i can’t do that” walls for no reason like yeah in the demo it can: find concert tickets check a friend’s address from messages identify places from photos COOL! but why does it still struggle with the most boring, basic, everyday stuff? it’s like they built all the “impressive” layers on top of a foundation that still isn’t solid WWDC used to be “here’s something finished” now it’s “here’s something that sounds insane if everything works exactly like the demo” and that’s the problem…it doesn’t the whole “visual intelligence + personal context + cross app actions” thing sounds amazing until you realize reliability is still the weak link. And without that, all of this just feels like a very expensive tech demo. i don’t need siri to remember my conversations from last week i need it to NOT MESS UP a command i just gave 5 seconds ago are we seriously calling this progress or are we just impressed because the demo looked cool? news source: https://techcrunch.com/2026/06/09/hey-siri-heres-what-i-actually-want-from-ai/ submitted by /u/biz4group123
