These usage increases are driving me crazy and I miss the days of paying a flat monthly fee Is hardware not powerful enough to run local model well enough yet? I wouldn’t mind investing $4k - $5k in a really good machine that can run local LLMs really well instead of paying a cloud subscription and being locked into Anthropic’s control It’s not a rush and I’m not doing anything wild that needs strong compute, it’s more the peace of mind to know that I don’t have to always be thinking about conserving tokens since it can free up my mind to focus on other problems submitted by /u/NovelName7016
