We will see purples slightly more often with the 5% proposed change. Which is potentially a welcome change for some, but I truly don’t think this is the root of the problem. I think the drop table is far too bloated & the scrolls are WAY too common. They should be closer to the realm of 45-50% and likely 35-40% in CM’s (similar to TOB and avernics). That being said, the idea of scrolls going from 58% to 56% is insanity to me, it is so menial it isn’t even worth doing. Going on rate for a tbow will mean for every 2 players , one of them will get one less prayer scroll on the way. It will go from 20 scrolls to 19 on the way for one of them, the other player will still get 20. This is not even close enough to a big enough change. 50% of the players will see the exact same number of scrolls on the way to a tbow, the other 50% of players will see 19 instead of 20. That does not fix the feeling of getting too many scrolls, genuinely that will do absolutely nothing to alleviate that. I feel like this is about to be nightmare all over again, where everybody knows its a problem, Jagex knows its a problem, but they’re too scared to rip off the bandaid to put it where it needs to be. So instead we’ll spend the next 3 years getting slow drip feed changes until we finally get somewhere close to it being more in line by 2030. I know on paper the re-roll is a great idea to solve the problem. Mathematically its perfect, but something just feels so un-oldschool about it. What would you all like to see as an alternative? I think I would just open the idea of CM’s being massively buffed as far as purple rates/non-scroll purples. The harder raid should be the one that gives a much nicer completion time (coming from someone that prefers scaled raids). submitted by /u/RS-PLS
