Jacksonville police used surveillance video to find an 85 percent match, but Richardson was clocked into his North Carolina job hundreds of miles away when the crime occurred. The case was dropped after Richardson and his lawyers established the alibi in court. Wrongful arrests based on facial recognition software are becoming a pattern for the department.
