Fable 5 is useless for work. Literally every request gets routed to Opus 4.8, and it’s incredibly frustrating. I’m working on a project involving human animation processing for video games, and not a single one of my tasks has been routed to Fable 5. I asked it to write a simple function triggered by a DirectX hook using an official API library, and the damn thing refused to take on the task. Then I asked it to extend a simple Next.js project that generates Stripe checkout requests. The first request was routed to Opus 4.8. I opened a new session, pasted the exact same prompt, and suddenly it got routed to Fable 5. Out of curiosity, I tried a prompt from a YouTube creator whose model had successfully built a simple three.js shooter game. The creator had no issues getting the task completed. Meanwhile, two of my own prompts once again failed the safety filters. I also had an older project for generating PPTX presentations. There were no safety-related issues there every task was accepted without complaint. But Fable made a ton of mistakes and then couldn’t fix them. In the end, I had to switch to another model, which corrected everything on the first try and cleaned up the codebase. How do you manage to get good results out of this model? I genuinely don’t understand how to work with it. These aggressive safety filters make it practically useless for my use cases. submitted by /u/Educational_Grab835
