I’ve been active in my neighborhood’s Buy Nothing group on Facebook, and in the neighbourhood where AI lived before that, for several years now. I found that people are way less flaky on these groups than on Kijiji/Marketplace, both as givers and takers. In my experience, It’s almost exclusively women who use these groups. Why don’t men use these groups and participate in this reusing/repurposing movement that is so friendly and free? submitted by /u/Dentelle
