I am trying to keep this extremely short to give you the direct core of my accusation/what l’ve experienced because I do not have friends or co workers who use Claude or other ai models like I do. I use Claude (max $200) for around 7 months now. Daily, almost 12 hours a day. Not 12 hours constantly obviously. I’m building a computer vision model for object detection, tracking, and feature extraction + embedding. Now about 6 months ago Claude was absolutely amazing - it would search the internet for research data + know how to scale and train the CV model - comparing it against other models we had trained on different dataset methods. It was perfect. Ever since 6 months ago - almost every other week I noticed a very slight degradation in how Claude would work on my project. It would lie, use wrong data, screw up data and admit to it hours later, tell me something won’t work etc etc. this continued to today - the degradation was so slight and accumulated overtime that I assumed it was normal - until I read fable 5 is using classifiers to detect + mitigate certain areas. Looking back | 110% believe Claude was using or testing these classifiers for a long time - and essentially slowly degraded machine learning prompts or methods very deliberately. I know this sounds crazy - but I feel like I am actually going crazy (not anymore at least!) TLDR: 7-month daily Claude Max user building a CV pipeline (detection, tracking, embeddings). Claude was excellent ~6 months ago, then quality slowly and steadily degraded — wrong data, false claims, contradictions admitted hours later. The decline was gradual enough I assumed it was normal until learning Fable 5 uses safety classifiers. I now believe classifier testing has been silently degrading legitimate ML/CV work for months. submitted by /u/OptionIll6518
