Hi everyone, I just received a letter from the Bern Cantonal Police regarding a speeding violation. After deduction, I was driving 76km/h on a 60 zone and the police classified it as an innerorts (built-up area) speeding offence. For context, this was on the road along Lake Biel. The road had been 80 km/h and then dropped to 60 km/h. Unfortunately, I didn’t slow down enough before the radar. I have a Swiss probationary driving license (Führerausweis auf Probe) and no previous traffic offences in Switzerland. I’ve now received the form asking me to identify the driver and will send it back.
- Has anyone had a similar case?
- Roughly how much I can expect?
