It’s a bit interesting because the administration was pushing AI quite a bit, but they must see that the midterms could be about people angry and fearful about AI. So, attacking an AI company seems like a fairly politically popular thing to do. Shutting them down. And why not Anthropic? They’re the ones dooming and glooming and getting people angsty about it. That plus they already don’t like Anthropic for reasons.
