I go back and forth on this all the time. Some days I’m scared of getting replaced by AI. Other days I learn a new tool, figure out something I couldn’t do before, and I think “ok I’m fine, I’ll just get better with AI instead of being replaced by it.” But the thing is, I kind of have to keep learning. If I don’t, someone who does use these tools will just do my job better and cheaper. Same for everyone really. If you’re a lawyer and you ignore AI, you get replaced by a lawyer who uses it. So we all have a reason to get good at it. Then last week it hit me. I showed some work to my coworkers and realized I’d basically done their part too. Stuff that used to take a few people several days, I did alone in like a day and a half. So yeah, I’m not just scared of being replaced. I think I’ve already started replacing people. It’s not AI doing it. It’s us. I’m one of them now. And if you’re reading this, you probably are too, or you will be soon. Anyone else feel like this? submitted by /u/HerbertClapton
