Just a couple general tips for all ages:
Does the guy talk to you, ask questions, and seem genuinely interested in your life and who you are as person? Guys who mainly talk about themselves 1:1 tend to be selfish.
Meet his friends. If his friends suck there’s a good chance he sucks.
