Hoi zäme 👋 Our family does the SRF World Cup Tippspiel every tournament. But the SRF Tippspiel has two problems that slowly destroy your soul:
- To see what everyone tipped, you have to click through each person manually (think twelve family members. Every match. Like it’s 2009).
- On match day, the site sometimes loads slower than the Gotthard tunnel on a sunny Friday before a long weekend, or it just crashes completely. Apparently 335 CHF per year still doesn’t buy us enough server power 🙃 During the opening match, my boyfriend complained about this nonstop. Then, instead of accepting reality like a normal person, he stared into his laptop for way too many hours and came back with this as an add on to the SRF Tippspiel: tippblick.ch It’s basically a live companion app for your SRF tipping group (it connects to your already existing SRF set-up). What it does:
- Shows all tips from your group on one screen
- Ranks everyone by points
- Calculates live during the match who is currently winning
- Shows who is about to overtake whom if the score stays like this
- Sends goal alerts to your phone
- Still works when the SRF page is being… very SRF
- No account needed You just paste your SRF tipping group link via the app or webbrowser, choose your name, and you’re in. Honestly, I thought it was a bit unnecessary at first. But now we use it every match because it makes the Tippspiel way more fun. You immediately see who made a genius prediction, who is getting carried by luck, and who has been tipping absolute nonsense all tournament. Best way to try it is during the next match. Paste your group link, pick your name, and suddenly the whole group can follow the live ranking together.
