Trigger warning: rape F23. I was raped at the ages of 16 and 20 by two seperate men. I am now dating the most wonderful man. I didn’t tell him about these incidents until a year into our relationship because I wasn’t comfortable sharing it. I recently opened up about it and although he has been extremely supportive, I feel that it’s changed the dynamic of our relationship. I’m concerned he’s struggling with emotions about it and doesn’t know how to tell me. I’ve tried to ask him, but he claims everything is fine. I can tell it’s not and I haven’t pushed the topic because I can tell he’s not comfortable discussing it. I’m trying to understand this from a male perspective. What would or have your emotions and thoughts been if your girlfriend told/has told you she was raped?
