As reported in various media, Alpamare’s main attractions, the water slides, are currently closed and will likely remain so for some time. In return, the admission price has been reduced by half. I’m not interested in slides at all, but I love relaxing in the pools. I’ve always avoided Alpamare because the slides make it a children’s paradise, so it’s always loud and busy—especially when the weather is bad and during the (Zurich) ski holidays like now. Actually, now could be a good time to enjoy the “relaxing” part of Alpamare at a good price (saline pool, outdoor pool, saunas, etc.). Now my question: has anyone been there since the slides closed? Are there really almost no children/teenagers, or are they all now romping around in all the other areas, frustrated because they can’t go down the slides? Can you enjoy the pools in a relaxed manner, or not really? submitted by /u/Entremeada
