Usually I keep to myself. I’ve got a fairly independent family. But, there have been times I’ve been under too much strain and had no one to reach out to, so I asked the men in my family what they’d done. I almost always get something like, “Idk. Figure it out.” or, “I don’t remember. You’ll have to learn like me.” I get that it’s helpful in its own way, where I need to learn these lessons myself. But, I’m starting to find out through talking to other guys that this doesn’t seem like an average response. submitted by /u/anonymous_muffin_
