If you had to name the single strongest sign that a site was built fast with AI and little design oversight, what would it be? I got bored so I’m mining 49 AI- and SaaS-focused subreddits (>600,000 posts) through the Arctic Shift archive to find out which visual tells of vibe-coded sites people mock the most. Of course, most people don’t explicitly name the tells because people describe the sites that have them rather than labeling the feature. To account for that, I’m harvesting the actual text of on-topic posts and matching it against a synonym lexicon, restricted to posts that are talking about how a site looks, which keeps billing and security complaints out of the tally. Then I normalize everything to shares of posts per year, since the topic barely existed before it exploded in 2024, and raw counts would just track that spike instead of the design opinions. Numbers are almost done. I want the community’s answer before I post them. So name the one thing that tells you a site was built by a prompt. submitted by /u/iamjohncarterofmars
