With 104 max melee strength in Inquisitor, we get an initial max of 42 . This is the max for the 3-tick style, or 43 in Torva . Which is in itself absolutely insane for a 3t weapon. But I’m here to talk about expected hit in the 5-tick style. The boosted 150% against 3x3 makes the effective max hit 63/64 (Inq/Torva, but I’m gonna stick with Inq for accuracy boosts) . 7 rolls for the damage roll when crush is best, 6 rolls when crush is 2nd best, 5 rolls for when melee is best but crush is worst, 4 and 3 for when crush is middle of pack. This takes into account misses doing 0 dmg. Expected damage for every hit is as follows: MATH: At 90% accuracy , with 7 rolls = 50.7 avg. 6 = 49.7. 5 = 48.3 avg. 4 = 46.3. 3 = 43.4. For reference: Blue Moon is 95% accuracy + 7 rolls, Huey/Cerberus are 90% + 7 rolls. Araxxor/Sarachnis/Doom/Calv/Vet’ are 85% + 7. Spindel/Venenatis/Nightmare/Phosani’s is 80% + 7. Blood/Eclipse Moon/Bloat are 86% + 5, Hespori/Gryffon is 80% + 5, Xarpus is 80% + 4, Baby Mut is 80% + 3, KQ crawling is 73% + 7 rolls, Sire/Olm Hand is 75% + 5, Rev Boss/Thermy is 70% + 6 rolls, etc etc. Also, ur mom is 100% hit chance with 7 rolls. Gottem. MATH: 60% accuracy, with 7 rolls = 33.8 avg. 6 = 33.1 5 rolls = 32.2 avg. 4 rolls is 30.9. 3 rolls is 28.9. For reference: Nex is 60% hit chance + 6. Ranged Vanguard is 66% + 5. Sotetseg is 66% + 4,. Mama Mut is 66% + 3. Verzik P2 is 60% + 3. Verzik P3 is 75% + 4. Melee Vanguard is 56% + 4. Tekton is 56% + 3 (at full defense). 50% accuracy, with 7 rolls = 28.2 avg. 5 rolls = 26.8 avg. 4 rolls = 25.7 avg. 3 rolls = 24.1 avg. Granted at 50% accuracy and less, you’re fighting something with +100 crush defense and +200-300 defense. Like Kephri at 500 invo is 50% + 6, Vorkath 50% + 2, or KQ airborne with 0 rolls, scorpia with 0. None of the fellers down here are worth mentioning. Probably forgetting some bosses worth mentioning. Basically, this weapon is much better than scythe at lots of places, competes with it at some others, but damage relies heavily on other defense bonuses. It’s absolutely nutty at araxxor or sarachnis. Avg kills at araxxor would be 60.4 seconds, and then even less if the spidooder hits itself in enrage. I’m too lazy to consider defense reduction where you’d usually see it like at Tekton, but yeah. It’s good. I’ll edit this post as things come up. TL;DR megares be megararing. submitted by /u/Loofas
