To make a long story short, I had a cleaning lady I found from Home service come for a trial, I did not like her work so I paid her and she never came again. Months later she reached out to me needing money because her aunt passed away in Greece so I sent her 400- as she promised to send it back when she was ready. Later that same day she said no one helped her and she needs 350 more, so being that it was a death I felt really bad and send her 750 in total. I have all the messages, a picture of her ID and a written email of when she was supposed to give me the money back. Whenever I asked her for the money she kept pushing the date back and saying she doesn’t have. This past weekend I tried to reach out again (it’s been 5 months) and she won’t answer my messages or even my phone call. So now what do I do? A friend of mine said to go to her township and file a claim but would that guarantee my money back? I have all the written messages, and her ID and her address as well.
