What I don’t get: • Is it the same Claude Code under the hood in both, just a different wrapper around it? Or do they behave differently? • Does one handle project context / the file tree better than the other? • Desktop app — is the point parallel sessions and handing off tasks, while VS Code is more “watch it edit inline”? What I’d love from you: • If you build real projects (not throwaway scripts), which one do you keep open all day — and why that one? • Anything that made you switch from one to the other? • Any gotcha I only found out after three weeks of using the wrong setup?
