30 M with little experience in the dating world but after an unfortunate experience with the most previous woman, I think im giving up on dating in general for now. Growing up, I was taught about monogamy and marriage through values, and also wasn’t allowed to date until I after high school. I did tried talking to women as I grew but never past the talking stage. Currently I’m in this weird limbo where I want to seek someone in my life, someone that potentially be my other half, but with hook up culture and the fact that men get punished for being good fathers, Boyfriends, husbands etc. with divorce fees, cheating, and all sorts of unfortunate events, I’m afraid to make a move on women. Going back to the cheating part: One of my female coworkers ask if I had any female FWB and I told her no, which then she confessed that even though she has a man, she also has a male FWB that she talks to every now and then. Keep in mind that I’m average looking, not tall enough, so I really don’t know why she opens up like that. Another female coworker has a boyfriend but whenever she passes the boxes at work every week we get a delivery, she always has her fingers grazed on my wrists while puffing her chest up against my face. Even the most recent incident with another coworker is that she keeps “bumping into me by accident” when I try to reach for something. She claims to have a boyfriend but her actions speak otherwise. Lastly, one of my married coworkers did tried to do this thing with me where she compared hand sizes with my hand and interlocked fingers with mine. I know it’s not a serious as some people make out but I do see it as serious. So as a man with little experience, how do I navigate through the dating scene? Dating coaches are expensive, around 2-5K. Therapy is kinda pointless since they ask more questions instead of answers. I’ve been looking into a match maker but they are also the same price range as a dating coach. And I guess there is a saying too, where “before you find the right person, have fun with the wrong ones as well” how exactly do I do that? submitted by /u/Velocelot25
