Hello guys! I‘m new to Reddit, so I hope that this is the right subreddit for this. So I (17F) have basically a non-existing relationship with my brother (22M). He does tease me and come into my room showing me his muscles or stuff like that - but I really wish for us to have a deeper relationship. Like siblings that actually go out alone and do something together. I want him to see me as not just his sister but also as a friend. My dad is pretty emotionally absent and my mother has passed away, so I feel like this is a family bond I want to treasure. I‘ve tried to bond with him: asking him about his day, making him food when he comes home, listening to him talk about his favorite artist. We kind of have similiar interests like Star Wars, Harry Potter, LOTD etc. Thats why I‘m a bit confused why we aren‘t as close. What should I do to make the guy like me more? Maybe he doesn‘t want to deepen the relationship, and I would completely understand. After all, I‘m not the most interesting part of his life of course. But I at least want to try. Thank you for reading this until here and have a good day <3 submitted by /u/Sufficient-Crazy8596
