I am renting an apartment (Mieter). I don’t know how long I will be staying there - maybe a year, maybe 5 years. I would like to hang a mirror on the wall, but I’m afraid to pierce a hole in the wall, and then have to repair it once I leave the flat. I have heard that Swiss agencies are very strict concerning repairs, cleanliness, etc. when doing the “check out” of a flat. I have also never pierced a wall in any of my previous rental flats, for fear to have to pay an unreasonable amount for future repairs.
