It’s pretty heavily implied that Guthix is sleeping deep in the pit that you see near Tears of Guthix and which you travel into to access the Guthixian Temple. If you turn your game sounds up and mute the music you can hear slow, deep breaths reverberating through bother the cave and the temple. Almost like the slow breathing of something massive sleeping.
