I’ve been using Claude Code for a while to ship small, fast projects for clients. I have a set of custom skills that I developed myself, plus some others that I cloned from various repositories. What I’m struggling with is making my workspace portable. Ideally, every time I start a new project, I’d like to have the same set of skills available by default. Right now, I’m manually copying the skills folders from project to project, but that’s becoming difficult to maintain. Some versions are starting to drift apart and get out of sync. Has anyone found a good solution for keeping their Claude Code setup portable and easily updatable? For example, if I add a new skill or update an existing one, I’d like those changes to be automatically available across all my repositories and on all my machines (both my laptop and desktop). I’m curious how other people manage a shared, centralized skill library and keep everything synchronized. What’s the best practice for managing and versioning Claude Code skills across multiple projects and machines? Thanks! submitted by /u/Unlucky_Evening_9982
