I’m trying to build a 2D pixel-art game using Claude Code and vibe coding. To be honest, I don’t really know game development. The problem is that I feel like I’m moving blindly. I don’t know if I’m using the right tools, if there’s a better setup, or if there are workflows that would make this easier for a beginner like me. Has anyone here built a game this way before? I’d love to hear how you approached it: What worked for you? What mistakes should I avoid? Did you use any specific tools, engines, MCPs, scripts, or workflows that made the process easier? And if you were starting again from zero, how would you structure the process? I’m not looking for advanced technical explanations, just practical advice from people who have actually tried this.
