I ran into a woman I’ve known since middle school and later worked with. We hadn’t talked in years. She came over to my group at a bar, we caught up for a couple minutes, laughed, and then she went back to her group. About 15 minutes later, her boyfriend, who I had never spoken to before, came up behind me while I wasn’t looking. A friend said he may have said my name first, but I didn’t hear it. He slapped me. There was no argument, no flirting, and no confrontation beforehand. My friends were just as confused as I was. The weirdest part is that by the time I turned around he was already sprinting out of the bar. A few of my friends started to go after him, but the bouncers pulled everyone back and locked the doors. I can identify him. Curious what other people would do in this situation. Would you ignore it, report it, contact him directly, talk to the bar, or handle it some other way? submitted by /u/justaguy467
