Let’s say there’s a girl you met at work that you think you could be friends with, but your SO asks you not to be friends with her. Let’s say she sits you down and calmly explains that there’s something about this person that makes her uncomfortable, maybe she’s feeling a little insecure, etc. You have plenty of friends that are both girls and guys, and this is the first time she’s expressed discomfort around someone, so it’s not a pattern.
