Had a girl best friend who I met in 2013. We met in middle school & were really close until 2023. We would travel together, talk all the time, hang out frequently & just had a great relationship. I find it more difficult than getting over an ex, mainly because in a breakup there are reasons and expectations that are not met, but this, it’s like nothing? Years of talking and sharing everyday and in one day it’s like she never knew me. She had her reasons (starting a family) & her significant other wasn’t fond of her having a guy best friend. That ultimately led her to not really being friends with me anymore. I thought I would be over her by now but 3 years have passed & I still dread it frequently. I could get another girl best friend but it wouldn’t fix the issue, just would be like putting a band aid on a wound. Anyone on here have any advice that can help me get over her? submitted by /u/Ok-Initiative-3121
