I was stuck in my head today and I was thinking about all the times I had heard this phrase. Usually it comes by text or email. There’s a few different variations of it . " We need to talk about us " " call me we need to talk " are other ones lol . I think I’ve heard it three-four times in my life and only one time has it not been a breakup. But I was an idiot and in fact ended the relationship thinking it was that lol . This saying has caused a lot more anxiety than me even losing a job or getting laid off. I’m kind of like the captain of the Titanic and I hang on to relationships longer than I should often when I know they’re already over. Perhaps it’s because I’m still getting laid or it’s just really hard to dump somebody so I let them do it. I think once you get to this point there’s no point trying to save it. I’m curious as to how other people on here have dealt with this or if anybody has any funny stories to do with some girl saying this to them ? submitted by /u/Musclecity
