Hi all, A person I know sold a couple of travel adapters on Ricardo (not a business, just clearing out items from home). ESTI bought and tested them, found safety issues, banned further sales, ordered a recall, and charged CHF 1,200 in administrative fees. Questions: Can a private individual really be treated the same as a commercial seller in this situation? Is it worth getting a lawyer or activate rechtschutzversicherung for an amount like this? Not looking to dodge safety rules, just trying to understand whether there are any realistic options. Thanks! submitted by /u/tsur1
