It’s hard to tell, I feel like sometimes a session develops really good domain knowledge after many compactions, like sonnet to opus level leaps in just one repo, but then it starts doubting and re-deriving SSH and git stuff. Always correctly, but at that point, for perceived git safety and filesystem safety i usually move to a new session after writing handoffs. I’m wondering if it is even necessary to abandon those sessions though. That solidified, hard to actually measure layer of knowledge is pretty helpful, but it is hard to know when it is likely to cause too much hallucination. submitted by /u/angry_cactus
