Hi everyone, I figured I’d ask here before doing anything else. To get to the point: Is it okay to have a standing punching bag in my apartment (on a thick mat) or would this seriously annoy my neighbours? The building has thick walls and I wouldn’t use it after 8 PM or on Sundays, but still. Or are there better alternatives? I have been struggling with stress and regulating myself for years and it’s reached a point where I seriously just have to address it. Besides breathing exercises and journaling, I always get a strong urge to punch something if I do end up in a spike I can’t help otherwise. Wall pushing and similar do not hit the same, and punching my pillows only helps so much. I may also join a class at my local gym, if it works out with my schedule, but I just need to let off steam in the evenings. I’m happy to recommendations or solutions :) submitted by /u/Witkinz
