This miniscule upgrade feels shoehorned into the game, changing the usual “use item on an item” interaction that is so unique and core to OSRS. It requires changing menu entries on at least one other item, while giving you almost nothing in return. All you get is a single processed item which equals 3.5% upgrade AT BEST (assuming you are tick perfect all the time and can bank and start a new glassblowing cycle in like 3ticks). It won’t even be noticeable or feel good when you get it. Therr are tools that have to be used on other items, and then there are tools that you just need to have in your inventory to be able to do things. The latter is perfectly fine as an equippable “upgrade” as it doesn’t reduce one of the core aspects of oldschoolness of OSRS. Equippable harpoon, hammer and saw didn’t require changing any other items options, and are used in wide variety of content, allowing for interesting inventory optimization or just good old fashionscape when smithing at an anvil, in Tempoross, Mahogany Homes, etc. The blowpipe is just for standing at a bank, making it equippable means almost nothing given the context its used in. If Jagex really wants to buff glassmaking, they should do something about the obnoxious picking-up-glass-from-the-ground aspect of it. Give us an upgrade to the lunar spell that autonotes the glass it creates (it could require some consumable from the island), a glass sack that superglass made glass automatically goes into (kinda silly) or a glass magnet that picks up all of the glass from the ground in a single tick (even more silly). Vote no on the ornate glassblowing pipe, we can do much better than that. submitted by /u/Vador_
