Hey! So I’ve been experimenting with growing a full beard for the first time in my life at 31, and today I’m calling it quits. Like, it’s an actual god damn sensory nightmare!? It feels like I have pointy swords poking my nostrils all the time (it’s torture), and the beard itself has me constantly scratching my chin. Furthermore, you have to be super careful when eating, as food can very easily get stuck in it (especially yoghurt!). It’s an inconvenience and a nuisance for me in so many ways that I’ve a newfound respect for the hardship guys who actually maintain a beard go through. So, what gives? Do I have uniquely easily irritated skin, or uniquely dagger-ey hair follicles in my beard area? Would be fascinated to hear what other guys’ experience with this is. submitted by /u/Satan-o-saurus
