After being forced to listen to about the 10th loud speakerphone conversation/ headphoneless tiktok scrolling on public transport, it occurred to me: what happened to the bünzlis? I thought they were responsible for maintaining social order around here? Thinking back, I’ve never actually seen an old Swiss bünzli confront one of these annoying people. Why is that? When I first moved here, I got bollocked a couple of times by bünzlis for (unintentional) minor offences…so why don’t they bollock these annoying speakerphone people?
